In 2016, Stefanie attended a free CrossFit class and fell in love with the methodology. Before her Husband retired from the Army and  they settled in Maryland, she worked as the facility manager and head coach of an on-base CrossFit affiliate. Now she works as a run coach, and homeschools the youngest of their four children.

“In 2013 I made a career change and decided to become a personal trainer. This was a huge leap  for me, since I never enjoyed exercise as a kid. I quit school sports because I dreaded the running during practice, and a less than stellar experience in the weight room dampened my desire for strength training. In my late twenties, I finally discovered that working out and feeling strong was pretty cool.

Over time, I went from being unable to run a mile to completing two marathons. Once I found CrossFit, I knew it was something different and I wanted in on that! What has drawn me to coaching is seeing folks do something they never thought possible, and helping them find joy in movement.

I love to show people that exercise is not a punishment, it is a privilege and a way to honor our bodies. I am thrilled to join the Revamped team and help kids get a better start to fitness than I had. It is never too early to learn that being active is fun.”
